It seems like team MVP is usually more about which guy the team feels worked the hardest that year. Ben would win every year if it was truly for most valuable IE the player you could least do without.

Most guys don't live in Pitt in offseason so as soon as the last game is done, they scatter. I bet half the team was on a plane to a different state within hours of the end of the Bengals game.

Well, they do have exit meetings the following week so they had to wait at least a few days.

You guys are a piece of work. You do realize that the Steelers have been doing the MVP award like this for decades and itís never been an issue until this year. EVERY sport gives their various awards out BEFORE the season is over (whether itís the regular season or the playoffs). Itís never been an issue.

The QB has NEVER been the defective winner of the MVP award. Itís never been an issue. Hell Ben wasnít even alerted Captain for the first several years of his career. If weíre just going to default to the QB, lets call it the ďQB Award.Ē

This is NOT about the MVP award. Itís obvious that conflict has been brewing under the surface for several weeks, and just boiled over with the MVP award. As was said earlier EVERYONE (or at least multiple parties) bears responsibility.

Funny how everyone wants to talk about leadership and point the finger solely at Tomlin. If Ben is the QB, and leader, doesnít he beat some responsibility as well? What about the Rooneyís. What about AB, and Bell? What about Pouncey and Heyward?

Multiple players described the locker room as being like the Kardashians. Ryan Clark, who has played with most of these guys had some pretty critical things to say about everyone involved (including Ben). He probably has a little better sense than we do about the locker room dynamics.

Contrary to what many think, you donít just blow things up and start over. You roll your sleeves up and get to work fixing the mess. Leadership isnít about the absence of problems, itís about how you respond when they occur. Fixing the problems will be the responsibility of the Rooneyís, Tomlin, Ben,,and anyone else who considers themselves a leader on this team. Should it have been done sooner? Probably, but hindsight is 20/20. These fissures have probably been developing for a while, but they finally boiled over this year.

Letís not (as fans) add to the drama with the constant finger pointing. Letís get behind OUR team and support them as they do whatís necessary to get back to Steeler football.

When you are the face of the team you get the praise and you catch the bullets.
Every story needs a villain. I'm okay playing that role.

No, AB acting like a fucking ass and shit teammate is on him, not Ben or Heyward. Why is it every time this guy does something everyone tries to blame others. It's on AB and only AB.

I suspect a lot of this anti-Ben stuff is put out by AB PR people and personal friends. He has to try clean up the mess he made of his worth as a player by not showing up to practice and missing a crucial game.

Is Ben perfect? Of course not. But if you are a WR who can't tolerate being called out for running the wrong route, you don't even belong in peewee football.
