Mods, please make this thread a sticky. Tibs can't seem to remember the intent of the Trump winning thread, which is "This thread is for posting about WINNING. Share freely and often. Monumental legislation, key appointments, critical Executive Orders, influential foreign policy meetings, post what you want."
He's begun using that as a trash bin where he posits and posts any and all of his anti-Conservative nonsense.
We enjoy it, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't belong there. So let's dedicate a thread to Tibs and his profound thinking.
Why don't we turn this into a bigger shit show, and let Elfie back in.
You lost. Get over it.
Not getting much traction here.
Orange Man Bad!
I actually enjoy the back and forth in the other thread. Not that anyone is changing their mind but it is interesting and often humorous.

I enjoy watching the TDS evolve in real time and in context of rational posts.
Personally I think Trump is nothing more than an agitator in hockey... he is a troll, an instigator...as with every president I think he has maybe 1% to do with actual policy or rulemaking... all his appointees do that...
He is a figurehead, nothing more, except this figurehead isn’t pulling the typical statesman facade most politicians do, instead he is belligerent and combative and downright annoying... his opponents lose their shit trying to get him and ultimately tear themselves apart instead... it’s comical and sad at the same time.
I also think he is the least conservative “conservative” I’ve ever seen... honestly had he run as a D, i tink the moderate Ds would actually love him...
Im all for the two big parties tearing each other down so Im fine with all of this, though we eventually need a non socialist non globalist moderate to pull this country back together sooner or later... the extremists should never get the civil war part 2 so many crave so badly....
We all should be proud and honored to know that the brave stalwarts of justice are coming forward in the name of all that is good to stomp on the evil, criminal, and immoral denizens that populate our society.
I shudder to think where we would be without them.
Vagina lady! Ha.
Damn not sure Biden would even put his finger in that.
Her face is the clitoris. I got nothing else.
You guys have gone all off topic here. This is a pro-Lib thread, yinz deplorable Nazis git chore sorry asses back to your Trumptard 'winning' place.
Good....now let me explain what we're doin' here so that we's on the same page.
"We hereby unveil these articles of impeachment, which clearly lay out the undeniable fact that we will not win the White House back next year," as per Rep. 'Nads' Nadler. "We have found Trump guilty of absolutely nothing, but we already started this whole process and it would look bad to back out now, so here we are."
"I declare here and now that Trump will be in the White House for at least another four years."
Some questioned if this was the best strategy, but we pointed out that with four more years of Trump, we will be able to generate far more outrage than if we
took back the White House. "It's a lot more fun to be extremists and scream at the sky for years and years instead of proposing policies that most Americans support and actually win elections."
Comeon guys get with the program here. There's plenty left to do and we got a great new 'green deal' to push ahead on and a new candidate to co-ordinate it.
While you're at it, a little support for our 'Green' poster child would be nice.
He is likely one of the most "alone" Presidents we've ever had. Every report says he distrusts his cabinet and career Washington support staff. He fires people constantly, looking for new voices in the room (or voices that agree with him in principle and are willing to execute them).
I also think that while Presidents do have very little ability to change policy (except with very small changes to the scales of right/left ideology), President DO control the narrative around policy. They have huge influence in deciding what issues become important or not important.
Trump's voice was heard because he was the first to bring up issues few other candidates bothered with: immigration and socialist globalization (and the general lack of Nationality) and the trade-manufacturing connection. Sure, Republicans talked about these things in the past, but they DID very little. For the most part, the Republican platform was pretty much to "go with the flow" and not rock the boat. George Bush was the primary example of what the Republican party turned into on these issues. In his eight years in office, I can't think of one meaningful speech on any of those issues. In fact, for the last decade, the Republican platform on LatinX immigration was "tread carefully because we need their votes". Instead, through the whole Tea Party years, Republicans went back to trying to be the "morality party" and "fiscal conservative party" both of which didn't resonate or win vs. what Obama (the snake oil salesmen he was) sold America.
So Trump ditched all of those things. He certainly couldn't win on a morality platform, but he could attack on rampant political correctness run a muck. And he completely turned immigration on its head and instead of treading lightly trying to be all things to all people, he finally took a position: To be strongly against illegal immigration, period, on all fronts. And he honed in on a demographic the democrats were leaving behind: white, blue-collar workers.
That's his three-pronged platform and he's not backing down. Nationalism. Stronger borders. Continue to say what white, blue-collar voters want to hear. Everything else be damned.
He's also amazing at finding groups that people already dislike (media, congress, career politicians) and relentlessly bullying and attacking them. I mean if you are part of a group or profession that has low approval ratings in the eyes of the American people, Trump will likely be attacking you in some form or another.
And on the other side of the coin, he attaches himself (and implies that Democrats attack them) those groups and professions that still get high marks in approval ratings: Police, Military, Church
It literally is one of the most brilliant political strategies in our lifetime.
