Yup. This is another of the many "in case" profile Elfie created due to the fact that he averaged a banning about every 2 weeks.

Japan to declare state of emergency over coronavirus pandemic

Tokyo (CNN)Much of Japan will enter a state of emergency Tuesday, as the country struggles to rein in the coronavirus pandemic, months after the first domestic cases were reported.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that "basic economic activity" will continue in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Osaka, Hyogo and Fukuoka, the seven affected prefectures, with public transport and supermarkets remaining open, but urged people to exercise social distancing and avoid unnecessary trips.

The state of emergency, which is expected to be formally announced at a press conference Tuesday, will last for approximately one month.

US Forces Japan commander declares public health emergency for Tokyo-area bases as virus cases surge

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan – The commander of U.S. Forces Japan has declared a public health emergency for U.S. military bases on the Kanto Plain in and around Tokyo.

The declaration Monday afternoon “ensures commanders possess the necessary authorities to enforce compliance health protection measures among military, civilians, and contractors who live and work on U.S. installations,” a USFJ statement said. The guidance will be in effect until at least May 5.

Lt. Gen. Kevin Schneider, USFJ commander, said in the statement that protecting the health and safety of everyone associated with USFJ is his No. 1 priority.

“I cannot underscore enough the importance of personal responsibility at a time like this,” he said. “Stopping the spread of [the coronavirus] requires the entire team – service members, civilians, families, and our Japanese partners. The virus makes no exceptions based on military or civilian status, and our policies and procedures won’t either.”

People keep praising Fauci as a God. He's slowing being exposed, day by day. Bad numbers, bad predictions, and he's waffled over recent history on his positions.

LATEST NUMBERS: Govt. Models Overestimated Hospitalizations by 8 Times; ICU Beds by 6.4 Times; Ventilators Needed by 40.5 Times

    This is quite stunning.
The government models used to predict the extent of the coronavirus pandemic are off by huge margins in the latest coronavirus tracking numbers.
The current government predictions reported by Covid Tracking (https://covidtracking.com/data/ ) for Apr 5th show:

    – All beds needed: 179,267
    – ICU beds needed: 33,176
    – Invasive ventilators: 26,544

    Those were the predictions.

The actual numbers as recorded at The Covid Tracking Project:

    – Actual hospitalizations: 22,158
    – In ICU: 5,207
    – On ventilator: 656

    Via Dr. Ned Nikolov:
Comparing #COVID19 Projections (https://t.co/zMKuQ4SUKg) with reported data by Covid Tracking (https://t.co/4t2dvr7NL1) for Apr 5:
    – Overestimation of hospitalizations: 8 times
    – Overestimation of of ICU beds needed: 6.4 times
    – Overestimation of ventilators needed: 40.5 times pic.twitter.com/lIYtSPPRp8

    — Ned Nikolov, Ph.D. (@NikolovScience) April 5, 2020

This is a complete failure of estimates and models.
    The actual numbers show:

    – Overestimation of hospitalizations: 8 times
    – Overestimation of of ICU beds needed: 6.4 times
    – Overestimation of ventilators needed: 40.5 times

List: 30 regulations that stymied Trump's virus response

A wall of federal regulations has jammed the brakes on the Trump administration’s efforts to react swiftly to the coronavirus pandemic, prompting new calls for a full house cleaning of the hurdles as part of the next stimulus package now being developed in Congress.

A new list shows at least 30 rules and regulations have helped to slow or stop President Trump’s “war” on the virus, such as burdensome testing required of promising cures, and in some cases helped to spread it, such as bans on disposable bags that encourage repeated use of dirty reusable ones.

“Many regulations have proven to hinder or delay appropriate policy responses. Other regulations are or were making things worse than they otherwise would be. In many cases, it is now clear that these regulations were never needed, or that whatever justification they once had has been superseded,” said a new report from the Competitive Enterprise Institute shared with Secrets.

In listing regulations tying the government’s hands, the group has started a new “#NeverNeeded” campaign to kill off rules blocking the administration’s effort to slow the spread of the virus.

The 13-page report “identifies #NeverNeeded regulations lawmakers should get rid of so the private sector can do what it does best — provide people with the goods and services they need now more than ever,” said the influential group that regularly draws attention to problem regulations.

It also urges Congress and Trump to move faster on his successful effort so far to kill two old regulations for every new one implemented, and calls for a commission, similar to the base closing commission, to

The report, shown below, cites at least 30 of the biggest hurdles, key among them Food and Drug Administration demands for years of testing on promising drugs. The president, for example, has touted hydroxychloroquine in the coronavirus fight, but it hasn’t been approved yet by the FDA for antiviral use.

It also calls for the lifting of tariffs that would slow the importation of key equipment.

For consumers, CEI said that internet taxes should be eliminated as more people are forced to shop from home during stay-at-home orders.

And it called for the repeal of plastic bag bans, which force consumers to use dirty and potentially contaminated reusable bags.

Fact: CV19, so far, is still 1/8 as deadly as the flu two years ago which killed 80,000.

Could it get worse? It could. Given it's showing signs of tailing off in other countries where it hit before the USA, I don't believe it will.

You saw how Birx and Fauci are backing off of the fear, doom and gloom #s they gave that you were parroting. Their source (IMHE) is cutting their numbers in half. Every few days they back them down again.

    Not enough ventilators!!!!!!!!
    Not enough Beds!!!!!!!!!

Plenty to go around now. Weird, eh?

Experts will ALWAYS give the highest numbers on purpose. They want to give you the worst case scenario and then walk it back if necessary, rather than go low and have people get blindsided and ravaged by something they didn't expect. I don't think there is anything political or devious about it. It's just how it is and it's the right thing to do from a safety standpoint. I don't think this "exposes" them in any way. It was by design. There is absolutely no way to accurately pinpoint what is going to happen with an epidemic that nobody has ever seen before so you give the worst case scenario and make sure people take precautions.

There could well be over 1.5 million cases of the virus as most people with mild symptoms are being sent home without even testing. There is no way to say for certain what the mortality rate is because nobody knows how many people are/were actually infected.

I've presented you with facts, and you've chosen to ignore them. That's ok as facts aren't for everyone.....Wait until the discussion turns to man-made climate change and i show you what NASA, NOAA and the Trump administration had to say on the topic (Spoiler: man is causing climate change).

Oh I fully get that, believe me. SOME here don't. Some here hear what they say and then run around predicting the end of the world. MILLIONS will die! This ain't the flu bro!

I still believe we are going to see fewer deaths in the USA in 2020 from CV19 than we will the flu.

Them continuing to walk these numbers back just emboldens my predictions I've made before.

Let's not forget these doomsday predictions were WITH full social distancing in place. We were told without it there would be millions of deaths. Yeah, does anyone actually believe that?

Let's also realize that the vast majority of those tested were the sickest among us.The numbers of people with mild illness or asymptomatic infections is probably massive.

Hell, for all anyone knows, the reason this has been a bad flu season with 3 separate outbreaks could well be that this virus was here last fall and that many of the deaths attributed to the flu could have been Covid-19 deaths. Nobody knows for certain.
